The Cure played a marathon set last night (29th March 2014) at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. With no support act the band came on just after 7.30pm – and 40-plus songs later left the stage well past 11.
A range of tracks were aired, from poppy hits to obscure b-sides and live debuts. From memory, highlights were ‘A Forest’, ‘One Hundred Years’, ‘Play For Today’ and ’10:15 Saturday Night’. My seat was in the Choir section behind the stage; close to the band and providing great views of the crowd.
